Feb 25 - Up all night...
Emily was a pain and didn't want to sleep tonight. On the plus side, I got to stay up and see all of The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon AND Late Night with Seth Meyers! Fun times!
Feb 24 - Tooth Fairy....AGAIN!
This kid's going to be eating pudding for every meal here soon! I can't believe she's lost 5 teeth already! She informs me she's going to lose 13, so 8 more to go I guess!
Feb 22 - Mama and Papa day!
Today we spent the day with Mama and Papa! As soon as we said we were going to visit them, Emily said she wanted to play play doh with Mama, so we had to pack some! The girls love playdoh!
Mama let them blow bubbles in the house, which they thought was super fun!
Emily is on a broccoli kick and our waitress barely made it to the table before Emily shouted "I need broccoli" Luckily we had a great waitress who brought it out to her with our drinks!
Then back to the hotel for more swimming with my little fishies!
Katelyn and I had to test out the waterproof case I got for my phone! So cool!
Feb 21 - Nana's Birthday trip!
It was Nana's birthday today!! We went on our annual trip to visit Mama and Papa. The girls LOVE visiting Mama and Papa. Today we traveled and when we arrived, Mama and Papa met us for dinner and stayed to watch the girls play at the hotel pool. Katelyn loved getting to ride in Mama and Papa's car!
I wasn't sure if Emily would like swimming because it took me most of last summer to get her excited about the pool...in fact, she wouldn't get it in until the very last week! But she remembered and she was totally thrilled about swimming! I forgot the floats though and she was insisting that I let her go and swim on her own!

Feb 20 - Sandy
We were running errands and getting ready for our trip today, so I only have this one photo! This is Sandy, the horse at Meijer. Emily always wants to ride at least twice and she is very disappointed that there is no Sandy at Kroger, lol!

Feb 19 - Late Night with Emily pt 2
I forgot this was the same kind of picture I had for yesterday. So two days of Emily dodging bedtime in a row. I got her back to bed by 9 tonight though!
Feb 18 - Late Night with Emily
Poor Emily is not happy about having Mommy gone during the day. This is the first of two nights when she's refused to go bed (like just standing in the middle of the room screaming until she's gagging) because she wants to lay in Mommy's bed.
Feb 17 - Fearless
I got an email this morning telling me that there was a tumbling clinic at gymnastics this morning for kids who were out of school. Since Katelyn was lucky enough to still get President's Day off this year, and I knew she'd drive her Daddy crazy at home, I had him take her. She was SO excited when I came to pick her up and stopped doing the tumbling practice to run up to a group of teenage cheer leaders in the back of the gym. She pointed at me and then made sure I had the camera out, because next thing I knew, they had her standing on two girls hands! This is called stunting and Katelyn LOVED it! She's really enjoying gymnastics!
Feb 16 - Not so Picky eater
Katelyn spent the night with her friend and her friend's Mom posted a picture of them eating lunch. I asked if Katelyn was hungry, because she hates that restaurant and only eats oranges off the salad bar when we go there. And I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Katelyn actually order food and ate all of it!! So proud of her!
Peer pressure can be positive, I guess. Because of her friends eating the school lunch, Katelyn has progressed from only eating school lunch on pizza day, to eating the school lunch 3 days a week! Baby steps, lol!
Feb 15 - Rainbow Loom
Katelyn got a rainbow loom for Christmas to make rubber band bracelets! Emily wishes she could make it work!
Feb 14 - Valentine's Day
Daddy got the girls flowers and he helped the girls make me a giant card!! And we got heart shaped pizza for dinner!
Feb 10 - Bunny Tracks
There was a bunny in our yard last night!

Feb 9 - Even more playdough!
James' parents came over to help us install our garage door opener and as usual, we didn't have the right stuff do it. So Katelyn had to find something else to occupy everyone while we made lunch!

Feb 8 - Oh, Toooodles!
Emily has been chasing this silly ball around all week, calling it "Toodles" and shouting "OH, Toooooodles!". It's been driving me crazy, but she's having so much fun, I didn't think about it too hard. Our furnace starting making a goofy noise and we had to call someone to come fix it. While he was there, James asked me why in the world was Emily calling the ball Toodles. I said I have no idea and the furnace guy said "Oh, it's from Mickey Mouse Club!" He has little kids too and apparently, he actually pays attention to what their watching, LOL!!

Feb 7 - Nana's Pics
Nana had to take Katelyn to school this morning, since Mommy overslept! Emily was super happy about that because she got her way and got to go play at Nana's house after!

Feb 5 - Fox Hats
Emily is still making me listen to What Does the Fox Say? multiple times a day! Nana decided to surprise the girls with hats today!
Feb 4 - Hide and Seek
Emily can *kind of* play hide and seek now! She gets that she's supposed to count and she really loves to go find Katelyn! She doesn't understand when it's her turn to hide. She's so funny though! Even though she can actually say the numbers to 10 (she can't exactly count, but she says them all in the right order) she gets way too excited to go that high! She says "ok! one! two! GOOOO!" and goes flying down the hall!

Feb 1 - Zebra Blanket
This was Katelyn basically the entire day. She was so tired after her sleep over. They got zebra blankets as a gift from their coaches and Katelyn was so excited for it! She loves zebra print and I never buy it for her!
Jan 31 - Cheer Banquet
Tonight was the Cheer Banquet for Katelyn's cheer squad. They do all the football, basketball, and the competition cheer girls together, so they have it after most of the games are over. This year, we did so good fundraising that the girls got a special reward, a lock in at the YMCA. Katelyn was totally excited about going because she got to swim!! She was more excited about the pool than she was about spending the night with 70 other girls! She had a ton of fun!

She loved this sleepover and her trophy, and also the news that they got an awning for the football cheerleaders for next year. She'd been kind of wavering on whether she wanted to cheer again next year and now she's now super excited for it!
