Apr 17 - Gymnastics

We switched Katelyn to a new gymnastics school last week.  The new one has a really nice play area for Emily and we actually get to look over the gym so we can see more of what's going on in her class.  Today they were working on strengthening their arms and Katelyn had to climb a rope!!  She didn't get very high and she was not very happy poor kid!

Apr 16 - I'm a Princess!

Emily put a headband on this morning and insisted she was a princess!

Yeah, get ready for a summer of these because I think Emily eating corn is adorable, LOL!

Apr 14 - Emily and Pappap

Emily wanted to go to Nana's house and visit Pappap, so that's what she did!

It was so pretty today!!  We spent the WHOLE day outside!

Apr 11 - Cavities! Eek!

Monday, Katelyn told me her mouth hurt.  But it was bedtime and she has lots of excuses for not going to bed, so I didn't really pay a lot of attention to it.  But Tuesday, she still complained so I took a look into her mouth and I was pretty shocked to see a gigantic cavity!  Yikes!  She was feeling pretty miserable so I picked her up from school today and took her to the dentist.  She had been hoping all week that she would just need a filling, but as soon as the dentist looked in her mouth he said, "That's going to have to go to the Tooth Fairy!"

Katelyn was very upset and very nervous, but we were able to convince her it would hurt less out than it did in!

They gave her laughing gas so it wouldn't hurt as much and she really did super!!  She looks kind of crazy in this picture, but it's right after he pulled the tooth and she's a little drugged and she can't smile.  She was talking and in a good mood though!  She was telling Nana how cool it was going to be to take this pink thing on her nose home!

She had a list of all the stuff she needed to have in her dentist kit!

And she spent the afternoon giving Emily check ups!  She's actually excited to go back and get her teeth cleaned!

Apr 10 - COSI Day

I like to volunteer at Katelyn's school.  My FAVORITE volunteer day is COSI!  COSI is a children's science museum in Columbus and they bring traveling exhibits to our school each year.  As a volunteer, I get to spend the day explain a science concept to the kids and then helping them with a hands on experiment to learn the concept.  The theme for this year was energy and my exhibit was about conducting electricity!

(I knew I was in for a fun day when my instructions were to not allow the children to stab or lick anything, LOL!!)

My table had these two probes that looked like screw drivers.  One side sent out an electrical current and the other side had a light bulb that lit up when it had enough electrical current.  They gave me a bunch of junk and if something conducted current, my light bulb would turn on.   I spent all my breaks seeing how much stuff I could link up and still get my light bulb to turn on.  The kids just wanted to stab the steel wool ball, lol.  (Also, kids these days have no idea what steel wool is for!)

And my second to last group of the day included this little scientist who insisted her favorite experiment was mine, lol!

Apr 9 - Ice Cream Girl

Since we rearranged the rooms, Emily has been playing with her toys (instead of Katelyn's).  This week's favorite is her ice cream set.  She loves to pretend to eat it and also to feed it to all of us!

Apr 8 - Little Bakers

I saw some yummy cupcake mix at work today and decided the girls should help me make them tonight!

Apr 7 - Late Night Emily

Someone needed to lay with Mama for a few minutes tonight!  She tried to smile for her picture but the flash kept making her close her eyes

Apr 6 - Park Stop!

Emily decided that she HAD to play at a park on the way home!  Thank goodness for GPS and Google!

Apr 5 - Busy day in WV

Today we had lots to do!  We visited a few yard sales and found Katelyn a new winter coat!  We saw the Easter Bunny and did an egg hunt.  We visited the toy museum and the girls got to play with their cousins.  

Apr 4 - Road Trip!

We're headed to visit Aunt Charlotte for the weekend!

Apr 3 - Air Force Museum

We got invited to go to the Air Force Museum with one of Katelyn's friends today!

Apr 2 - She's licking me!!

Emily was being super loud at lunch today and Katelyn thought she'd make her stop by putting her hand over Emily's mouth.  Emily licked her! So funny!

Apr 1 - Bounce House

I need to sell the bounce house, the girls want a trampoline!  So we got it out today to make sure it still works and the neighbors came over to test it out!

Mar 31 - Cupcakes!!

We had to go order a birthday cake today and we can never go to the cake store without tasting some cupcakes!
