Day 226 - Ice Cream Truck

All summer long, Katelyn has been waiting for the ice cream truck.   At our old apartments, we saw one every day and last summer, we saw one at Nana's quite a few times, but this year, the ice cream truck has been elusive.  We can hear it.  We rush out to the front porch every time, but it's always the street in front of ours or the street behind ours.  It NEVER comes down our street.  But today, we FINALLY got to get ice cream from the ice cream truck!  We'd been out running errands and we just happened to stop home to pick something up, when we heard the music, louder than it had been all summer and we turned around and sure enough, an ice cream truck was pulling on our street!  I unbuckled Katelyn and sent her running down our drive way, she didn't even have time to put shoes on, while Nana found some dollars (because of course, the one time we saw a truck, I didn't have my purse, lol!) And after all of her whining all summer about how badly she wanted a Spongebob Popsicle, my silly kid gets a SnoCone!  But we did fulfill her summer long wish of getting ice cream from the ice cream truck!
